Tanu Weds Manu Returns being one of the most waited movies this season, like all the others I was waiting for the release of the movie. Since the tickets were not available on the release day, decided to watch it over the weekend. It was a little disappointing to read the reviews on the movie by few criticisers but that din’t stop me from watching the movie.
TWMR was a total entertainer, which kept the audience entertained till the end of the movie. It had all main ingredients comedy, romance and was a little emotional in the second half of the movie which was necessary to show the value of a relationships. Kangana Ranaut’s acting is splendid, I liked her play the role of Tanu as well as Detto, she has raised the standards of acting. While the acting was at it’s best so was the dialogue delivery and the timing.
TWMR features the life of a married couple after 4 years, where the wife (Tanu) complains that there is no spark in her life and gets her husband (Manu) admitted to mental hospital and returns to her hometown. On returning, she adds a little spark by meets her old BF’s during which Manu gets discharged from the Hospital and returns to his Hometown. Manu sends a divorce notice which takes back Tanu.
The story continues on how Manu meets Detto while he visits a college in Delhi for a guest lecture, who is to be engaged to Tanu’s old BF (Raja). As expected, Raja comes to fight for his second chance and the drama continues. You can watch out for some awesome dialogues and their timings. I have quoted few dialogues below which I loved the most.
Dialogue 1:
Tanu– “Haalat dekhi hai? Adrak ho gaya hai ye aadmi. Kahin se bhi badh raha hai!”
Manu– “Haan toh shaadi se pehle Hrithik Roshan tha kya?”
Dialogue 2:
Manu– “Kya sex sex, Aakhiri baar 2013 me hua tha, woh bhi Bhai Dooj ke din!”
Dialogue 3:
Raja Awasthi– “Ab utro ghodi se, hum ek baar chadh nahi paayein, yeh hai ki utarne ka naam hi nahi le rahein”!
Dialogue 4:
Tanu– “Kya Sharma ji, hum thode bewafa kya huye, aap toh baddchallan ho gaye”!
Dialogue 5:
Tanu– ” Waah Sharmaji, Reebok nahi toh Reebuk sahi”?
